About us:
St Peter’s was built in 1928 as a memorial to George Walpole, Bishop of Edinburgh, and his wife Mildred with assistance from missions in England and the USA. It was designed by J Walker Todd of Dick Peddie and Todd as a Byzantine basilica with a “cross in the square” plan form, a high central dome and half dome over the Sanctuary apse. It is a small church seating a maximum of 60 people and is open during the summer on Tuesday and Saturday afternoons. There is a secluded garden to the rear of the church.
