To find us: From east or west take the main A89 road to Bathgate. There are various junctions off the M8. Follow the signs to the town centre. St Columba’s Church is just beyond the main town thoroughfare heading west. From South Bridge Street in Bathgate’s town centre, follow straight ahead at the roundabout and cross over to Glasgow Road. We are just past the driving test centre on the opposite side. Parking: There is plenty of street parking with no restrictions at any time. Public Transport: There are FIRST LINE buses from Edinburgh and the west (No.16). The bus stop is just outside the Church.
A little about us... The Church was originally built in 1915 and dedicated on 17th May 1916. Major building work and renovation was undertaken during 1998 and 1999 at a cost of approximately £70K. The building now meets all disability legislation including a commercial standard kitchen. The Church has a meeting room seating around 30 people. A recent addition is the Allen Digital Organ. The Church itself is a simple Gothic style building seating up to 60 people in the nave and a further 20 in the chancel. The chancel can be screened off from the nave providing a multi-functional area. The meeting room can be accessed from the nave or directly from outside. The building benefits from gas central heating. There is a small garden area surrounding the Church including a Garden of Remembrance. Well known for our love of food, we hold a monthly Café on the last Saturday of the month from 12 noon onwards. Other events as announced.
